Before your Ocoee River Rafting Trip

Here are a few things to help you get ready for your Raft One Ocoee river rafting trip:

1. Directions and drive times to Raft One Ocoee River Rafting Outpost:

We are located on the eastern end of the Ocoee River on Hwy. 64 just west of Ducktown TN.  4744 Highway 64, Ducktown, TN

2. When to arrive:

Try to get to the Raft One Ocoee Rafting Outpost 1/2 hour before your trip time. This gives you enough time to check in, get dressed, sign waivers and meet some of the guides.

Eastern Time: Remember we’re in the Eastern time zone so if you’re coming from the Central time zone (Nashville for example) then we are one hour later than your are. 2:00 Central Time is 3:00 our time.

3.What to wear:

Everything you wear on your Ocoee rafting trip will get wet so bring a towel and change of clothes.
Raft One provides all your rafting gear: PFD (life jacket), paddle and helmet.

You bring: Shorts or swim suit, t-shirt, and shoes that will stay on your feet (river shoes such as Keenes, Chacos, etc. or old tennis or running shoes. (Please don’t bring flip flops or crocs to wear on the river. You’ll most likely loose them.)

4. Weather

We raft on the Ocoee River every day TVA releases water. To see the schedule of Ocoee River releases click here.

We won’t cancel your trip because of weather. Rainy days make some of the most beautiful Ocoee rafting trips. We have been known to delay trips because of lightning or tornadoes but we’ve never had to cancel a trip because of bad weather.

Ocoee River water Temperature:
The water in the Ocoee River comes from Blue Ridge Lake in Georgia. The water comes off the top of the lake so most of the year it’s exceptionally warm.
