What to Wear for your Ocoee Rafting Trip
Raft One will provide you with a helmet, life jacket and paddle for your Ocoee rafting trip.
Everything you wear on the Ocoee River will get wet.
Here’s what to bring:
- towel
- change of clothes for after your trip (including dry shoes)
- sunscreen
- plastic bag for wet things
Warm weather:
Boys:
- shorts (don’t wear jeans or other long cotton pants)
- t-shirt
- River shoes or old tennis or running shoes
(Please don’t bring flip flops or crocs to wear on the river. You’ll most likely loose them.)
Girls:
- bathing suit to wear under your shorts and t-shirt
- shorts
- t-shirt
- River shoes or old tennis or running shoes

Cool Weather:
Boys and Girls:
We can provide you with spray pants and a spray jacket for cool days. (free)
On especially cold days we also have farmer john type wetsuits available (free)
We recommend you bring:
- Wool or synthetic sweater tops (no cotton)
- Wool or synthetic pants bottoms (no cotton)
- Wool socks (optional)
- River shoes or old tennis or running shoes
- (Please don’t bring flip flops or crocs to wear on the river. You’ll most likely loose them.)
- Wool or synthetic stocking cap (optional)
- Your own wind breaker if you don’t want to use ours.
